This week is hot, and it doesn’t look like the humidity is thinking of leaving anytime soon. It’s not unlikely for us to experience what feels like over 40 degrees on a daily basis in summer here, and this year is no exception. I could certainly go without the humidity though. A little breeze here and there is so welcome.
Lately my life revolves around building up friendships before my friends return to school this fall, and I take my year off of school. I know how hard it is for people to make time for others during the insanity of their schedules, and I feel like I need to get all the social time I can in now. I’ve also been trying to find a used road bike to purchase for making my trips to work a bit less strenuous.
What have you been enjoying this summer?
I’ve particularly loved seeing Moonrise Kingdom, Wes Anderson’s newest work of art, eating delicious weekend breakfasts downtown at Guelph’s unique Chilean restaurant, The Salsateria, reading Henry Nouwen for inspiration on the topic of prayer, and many other books with delightful, thrilling stories. I’ve also been listening to a lot of music by The Tallest Man on Earth and Horse Feather, two perfect artists for summer soundtracks, and cutting out fabric to sew more bunting banners.
Next weekend is wedding #3 of the summer and I’m photographing for my friend’s Joe & Anita, whom you’ve seen before.
If you haven’t had the chance to see these photos yet, maybe you’d enjoy smiling at the laughter and extreme beauty that exists between these two. You’ll be seeing more of them after I photograph their wedding in September!
